its principles and rules. Often, in some of the paths, there are words and additions not found in other paths, so I add them to the ḥadīth presented in the higher section if they can harmonize with its original. I indicate this by placing them in square brackets like this [] without specifying which narrators uniquely reported them, provided that the source and narrator of the ḥadīth are the same Companion; otherwise, I classify it as another independent type, as you will see in the opening supplications and others. This is a rare and precious thing that you can hardly find like this in a book, and all praise is due to Allāh, by whose grace good deeds are completed. Then I mention the scholars' opinions regarding the ḥadīth we have extracted, and the evidence for each of them, along with a discussion and clarification of their strengths and weaknesses. From this, we derive the truth that we presented in the higher section. I have also included some issues for which there is no text in the sunnah; they are matters of ijtihād and do not fall within the subject of this book. Since publishing the book in both parts was not feasible for us—due to compelling reasons—we have decided to publish the first part independently of the other, if Allāh wills, and I have named it: "The Description of the Prophet's Prayer (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) from the Takbīr to the Taslīm as if You See It."
