they introduced that which they did not innovate as misguidance. whoever among them innovates misguidance is considered outside the people of the Qiblah and has deviated from the religion. One seeks closeness to Allāh by disassociating from him, abandoning him, despising him, and avoiding his company. For it is more contagious than the disease of scabies.
أَحْدَثُوا مَا لم يبتدعوا ضلالا. فَمن ابتدع مِنْهُم ضلالا كَانَ على أهل الْقبْلَة خَارِجا وَمن الدّين مارقا. ويتقرب إِلَى الله ﷿ بِالْبَرَاءَةِ مِنْهُ ويهجر ويحتقر وتجتنب غدته. فَهِيَ أعدى من غُدَّة الجرب.
16 - It is said in favor of the Caliph of the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), Abū Bakr al-Ṣiddīq (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu). He is the best and most virtuous of creation after the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam). After him, we praise al-Fārūq, who is ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu). They are the two ministers of the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), his companions in his grave, and his companions in Paradise. We rank third with Dhū al-Nūrayn
١٦ - وَيُقَال بِفضل خَليفَة رَسُول الله ﷺ أبي بكر الصّديق ﵁. فَهُوَ أفضل الْخلق وأخيرهم بعد النَّبِي ﷺ. ونثني بعده بالفاروق وَهُوَ عمر بن الْخطاب ﵁. فهما وزيرا رَسُول الله ﷺ وضجيعاه فِي قَبره وجليساه فِي الْجنَّة. ونثلث بِذِي النورين.
