it is shared by the lover of the Most Merciful, the lover of idols, the lover of crosses, the lover of homelands, the lover of brothers, the lover of youths, and the lover of women. These are those who follow their tastes and emotions without considering that in light of the Book and the sunnah and what the righteous predecessors of the ummah adhered to. So whoever opposes what Allāh sent His Messenger with, which is to worship Him alone and obey Him and His Messenger, is never following the religion that Allāh has ordained, as He, the Exalted, said (Sūrah al-Jāthiyah, 18-19): "Then We put you on a path of the command, so follow it and do not follow the desires of those who do not know. * Indeed, they will not avail you against Allāh at all. And indeed, the wrongdoers are allies of one another, but Allāh is the ally of the righteous." Rather, he is following his own desires without guidance from Allāh. He, the Exalted, said (Sūrah al-Shūrā, 21): "Or do they have partners who have ordained for them a religion to which Allāh has not consented?" In this, they are sometimes upon an innovation they call a reality, which they prioritize over what Allāh has ordained, and at other times they argue with the universal decree against the sharīʿah, as Allāh informed about the polytheists, as previously mentioned. Among these are a group who are considered the highest in their estimation, and they adhere to what they have chosen by their desires from the religion in performing the well-known obligations and avoiding the well-known prohibitions, but they go astray by neglecting what they were commanded to do of the means that are acts of worship, thinking that the knower, when witnessing the decree, turns away from that, like those among them who make reliance..
يشْتَرك فِيهَا محب الرَّحْمَن ومحب الْأَوْثَان ومحب الصلبان ومحب الأوطان ومحب الإخوان ومحب المردان ومحب النسوان. وَهَؤُلَاء الَّذين يتبعُون أذواقهم ومواجيدهم من غير اعْتِبَار لذَلِك بِالْكتاب وَالسّنة وَمَا كَانَ عَلَيْهِ سلف الْأمة. فالمخالف لما بعث الله بِهِ رَسُوله من عِبَادَته وَحده وطاعته وَطَاعَة رَسُوله لَا يكون مُتبعا لدين شَرعه الله أبدا كَمَا قَالَ تَعَالَى [١٨-١٩ الجاثية] : ﴿ثمَّ جعلناك على شَرِيعَة من الْأَمر فاتبعها وَلَا تتبع أهواء الَّذين لَا يعلمُونَ * إِنَّهُم لن يغنوا عَنْك من الله شَيْئا وَإِن الظَّالِمين بَعضهم أَوْلِيَاء بعض وَالله ولي الْمُتَّقِينَ﴾. بل يكون مُتبعا لهواه بِغَيْر هدى من الله قَالَ تَعَالَى [٢١ الشورى] : ﴿أم لَهُم شُرَكَاء شرعوا لَهُم من الدَّين مَا لم يَأْذَن بِهِ الله﴾. وهم فِي ذَلِك تَارَة يكونُونَ على بِدعَة يسمونها حَقِيقَة يقدمونها على مَا شَرعه الله وَتارَة يحتجون بِالْقدرِ الكوني على الشَّرِيعَة كَمَا أخبر الله بِهِ عَن الْمُشْركين كَمَا تقدم. وَمن هَؤُلَاءِ طَائِفَة هم أعلاهم عِنْدهم قدرا وَهُوَ مستمسكون بِمَا اخْتَارُوا بهواهم من الدَّين فِي أَدَاء الْفَرَائِض الْمَشْهُورَة وَاجْتنَاب الْمُحرمَات الْمَشْهُورَة لَكِن يضلون بترك مَا أمروا بِهِ من الْأَسْبَاب الَّتِي هِيَ عبَادَة ظانين أَن الْعَارِف إِذا شهد الْقدر أعرض عَن ذَلِك مثل من يَجْعَل التَّوَكُّل مِنْهُم أَو.
