The words of Allāh, the Exalted: "So direct your face toward the religion, inclining to truth, the natural disposition of Allāh upon which He has created mankind. There is no altering the creation of Allāh. That is the correct religion, but most of the people do not know." (Sūrah al-Rūm, 30:30) And His words, the Exalted: "And Abraham enjoined upon his sons and [so did] Jacob, [saying], 'O my sons, indeed Allāh has chosen for you this religion, so do not die except while you are Muslims.'" (Sūrah al-Baqarah, 2:132) And His words: "Then We revealed to you, [O Muḥammad], to follow the religion of Abraham, inclining toward truth; and he was not of those who associate others with Allāh." (Sūrah al-Naḥl, 16:123) And from Ibn Masʿūd (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu) that the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: "Indeed, every prophet has allies from among the prophets, and my ally among them is my father Abraham, the intimate friend of my Lord." Then he recited: "Indeed, the most worthy of Abraham among the people are those who followed him [in submission to Allāh] and this prophet, and those who believe [in his message]. And Allāh is the ally of the believers." (Sūrah Āl ʿImrān, 3:68) Narrated by al-Tirmidhī. And from Abū Hurayrah (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu) who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: "Indeed, Allāh does not look at your bodies nor at your wealth, but He looks at your hearts and your deeds."
