and for the first part of the ḥadīth, there is supporting evidence from the path of Ibn Abī Mulaykah from Yaʿlá ibn Mamlak from Umm al-Dardāʾ from Abū al-Dardāʾ from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) who said: "Whoever is given his share of gentleness has been given his share of goodness, and whoever is deprived of his share of gentleness is deprived of his share of goodness." It was recorded by Aḥmad (6/451), al-Bayhaqī in "al-Asmāʾ wa-al-Ṣifāt" (p. 352 - India edition), and al-Tirmidhī (1/362) who said: "A ḥadīth that is ḥasan ṣaḥīḥ." Thus he said. And Yaʿlá ibn Mamlak, al-Dhahabī said: "No one narrated from him except Ibn Abī Mulaykah." This means he is unknown, and similarly, the statement of al-Ḥāfiẓ: "Accepted." Then I saw the ḥadīth from the path of ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Abī Bakr that he heard al-Qāsim ibn Muḥammad ibn (Abī) Bakr say: I heard my aunt ʿĀʾishah say ... the ḥadīth without the phrase "and maintaining family ties ..." and added: "And whoever is deprived of his share of gentleness is deprived of his share of the goodness of this world and the Hereafter." It was recorded by Abū Nuʿaym (9/159) and its isnād is weak due to this ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, but perhaps it is acceptable in follow-ups, as al-Sājī said: "Truthful, with some weakness, but acceptable."
- "Allāh said: I am Allāh and I am the Most Merciful. I created the womb and derived its name from My name. Whoever maintains it, I will maintain ties with him, and whoever severs it, I will sever ties with him." It was recorded by Abū Dāwūd (1694) and al-Tirmidhī (1/348) from the path of Sufyān ibn ʿUyaynah from al-Zuhrī from Abū Salamah who said:
