- "If a fly falls into the drink of one of you, let him fully immerse it, then remove it, for one of its wings has a disease and the other has a cure." It is narrated from the ḥadīth of Abū Hurayrah, Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī, and Anas ibn Mālik. 1 - As for the ḥadīth of Abū Hurayrah, it has several chains: the first is from ʿUbayd ibn Ḥunayn who said: I heard Abū Hurayrah say, and he mentioned it. It is recorded by al-Bukhārī (2/329 and 4/71-72), al-Dārimī (2/99), Ibn Mājah (3505), and Aḥmad (2/398). The addition within the brackets is from him, and it is from al-Bukhārī in one of his narrations. The second is from Saʿīd ibn Abī Saʿīd from him. It is narrated by Abū Dāwūd (3844) through the route of Aḥmad, and this is in "al-Musnad" (3/229, 246) and Ḥasan ibn ʿArafah in "his section" (p. 91/1) through the route of Muḥammad ibn ʿAjlān from him with it, and he added: "And it protects itself with the wing that has the disease, so immerse it fully." Its chain of transmission is good. It was also followed by Ibrāhīm ibn al-Faḍl from Saʿīd with it. It is recorded by Aḥmad (2/443), and this Ibrāhīm is al-Makhzūmī al-Madanī, and he is weak. The third is from Thumāmah ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Anas from him with it. It is recorded by al-Dārimī and Aḥmad (2/263, 355, 388), and its chain is authentic according to the conditions of Muslim
