they killed the children, and he said once: the offspring. This reached the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), and he said: and he mentioned it. The context is from Aḥmad, and al-Dārimī only has the elevated part of it without the phrase: a man said, etc. Al-Ḥākim said: Authentic according to the criteria of the two Shaykhs, and al-Dhahabī agreed with him. And it is as they said, and al-Ḥasan explicitly stated that he heard it from al-Aswad ibn Sarīʿ in al-Ḥākim's narration.
قتلوا الولدان وقال مرة: الذرية فبلغ ذلك رسول الله ﷺ فقال: فذكره. والسياق لأحمد وليس عند الدارمي منه إلا المرفوع منه دون قوله: فقال رجل الخ. وقال الحاكم: صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ووافقه الذهبي. وهو كما قالا وقد صرح الحسن بسماعه من الأسود بن سريع في رواية الحاكم.

"When the people of al-Shām become corrupt, there will be no good in you. A group from my nation will always be victorious, and those who forsake them will not harm them until the Hour is established." It was recorded by al-Tirmidhī (2/30) through the route of al-Ṭayālisī, and it is in "al-Musnad" (p. 145, no. 1076) as well as by Aḥmad (3/436, 5/35) and Ibn Ḥibbān (2313) through the route of Shuʿbah from Muʿāwiyah ibn Qurrah from his father, elevated. Al-Tirmidhī said: "A good, authentic ḥadīth." I say: It is according to the criteria of the two Shaykhs, and al-Khaṭīb extracted the first part of it from this route (8/417-418, 10/282), and it was narrated by Abū Nuʿaym in "al-Ḥilyah" (7/230). The second part was recorded by Ibn Mājah (2/6-7), and it has many supporting narrations; refer to some of them as mentioned previously under numbers (270, 1108).
" إذا فسد أهل الشام فلا خير فيكم، لا تزال طائفة من أمتي منصورين لا يضرهم من خذلهم حتى تقوم الساعة ". أخرجه الترمذي (٢ / ٣٠) من طريق الطيالسي وهو في " المسند " (ص ١٤٥ رقم ١٠٧٦) وكذا أحمد (٣ / ٤٣٦، ٥ / ٣٥) وابن حبان (٢٣١٣) من طريق شعبة عن معاوية بن قرة عن أبيه مرفوعا. وقال الترمذي: " حديث حسن صحيح ". قلت: وهو على شرط الشيخين، وقد أخرج الخطيب (٨ / ٤١٧ - ٤١٨، ١٠ / ٢٨٢) الشطر الأول منه من هذا الوجه، ورواه أبو نعيم في " الحلية " (٧ / ٢٣٠). والشطر الثاني أخرجه ابن ماجه (٢ / ٦ - ٧)، وله شواهد كثيرة فراجع بعضها فيما تقدم برقم (٢٧٠، ١١٠٨).

- "May Allāh brighten the face of a person who hears a ḥadīth from us and memorizes it until he conveys it to others, for perhaps the bearer of fiqh is not a jurist, and perhaps the bearer of fiqh conveys it to one who is more knowledgeable than him. Three qualities that a Muslim's heart will never harbor malice against: sincerity in action for Allāh,
