and it is a strong witness for the ḥadīth. And Allāh knows best. (Qazaḥahu) with the zāy emphasized, is derived from qazaḥ, which means spices. It is said: "You qazaḥ the pot" when you add spices to it. (Malḥahu) with the lām lightened. meaning he added salt to it in a measured way for improvement. It is said: "I malḥ the pot" with the lām lightened, and "amlaḥtuhā" and "malaḥtuhā" when you add too much salt to it until it spoils.

- "It is from the sunnah in prayer to place your buttocks on your heels between the two prostrations." It was recorded by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr" (3/106/1): Aḥmad ibn al-Naḍr al-ʿAskarī narrated to us, ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn ʿUbayd Allāh al-Ḥalabī narrated to me, Sufyān ibn ʿUyaynah informed us from ʿAbd al-Karīm from Ṭāwūs from Ibn ʿAbbās (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu) who said: and he mentioned it. I said: This isnād is authentic if this ʿAbd al-Karīm is Ibn Mālik al-Jazarī al-Ḥarrānī. However, if he is Ibn Abī al-Mukhāriq al-Muʿallim al-Baṣrī, then he is weak. I do not have anything to prefer one possibility over the other, as both narrated from Ṭāwūs, and Ibn ʿUyaynah narrated from both of them.
