it has another witness from the ḥadīth of Ibn Masʿūd in a shortened form, and it adds—after his saying "Isḥāq"—"the sacrifice of Allāh." This addition is considered objectionable, and for this reason, I included it in "al-Ḍaʿīfah" under number (334). *

"O Allāh! Make in al-Madīnah twice the blessing that You made in Makkah." Narrated by al-Bukhārī (1885), Muslim (4/115), and Aḥmad (3/142) through the route of al-Zuhrī from Anas ibn Mālik who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: ... and he mentioned it. The ḥadīth has supporting narrations from Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī, Abū Hurayrah, and ʿAlī ibn Abī Ṭālib. Ibn Ḥibbān included them in his "Ṣaḥīḥ" (3735, 3736, 3738, and 3739) with authentic chains similar to it and more complete. The ḥadīth of Abū Hurayrah and Abū Saʿīd is also in "Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim" (4/116-118). The ḥadīth of ʿAlī was narrated by al-Tirmidhī and others, and it is included in "al-Taʿlīq al-Raghīb" (2/144). *

"O Allāh! [You] created my soul, and You will take it back. To You belongs its death and its life. If You keep it alive, protect it, and if You cause it to die, forgive it. O Allāh! I ask You for well-being."
