Ishāq ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Abī Ṭalḥah was followed up on by Anas with a similar narration, both in a shortened and extended form, and it is recorded in "Ṣaḥīḥ Abū Dāwūd" (1482).

(I was shown last night at the Kaʿbah, and I saw a man of brown complexion, as handsome as you could see among men of brown complexion, with hair as beautiful as you could see among hair, which he had combed and it was dripping with water, leaning on two men or on the shoulders of two men, circumambulating the Kaʿbah. I asked: Who is this? It was said: This is the Messiah, son of Mary. Then I saw a man with curly hair, blind in the right eye, as if it were a floating grape. I asked: Who is this? It was said to me: This is the false messiah.) Mālik recorded it in "al-Muwaṭṭaʾ" (3/107), saying: from Nāfiʿ from ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿUmar that the Messenger of Allāh said: ... and he mentioned it. Through the route of Mālik, it was recorded by al-Bukhārī (5902 and 6999), Muslim (1/107), and Abū ʿAwānah (1/149), all from Mālik with it. Mūsá ibn ʿUqbah followed him up: in Muslim and Abū ʿAwānah. And Fulaḥ ibn Sulaymān: in Aḥmad (2/126-127). Sālim followed up Nāfiʿ: from Ibn ʿUmar with a similar narration, and its wording explicitly states that it was a dream vision; for he said: "While I was sleeping, I saw myself circumambulating the Kaʿbah ...". It has been previously recorded under number (1857).
