I said: The narration of al-Ṭaḥāwī in "Mushkil al-Āthār" (1863) deviated from the narrations of the mentioned group from Ḥumayd, as it came to him through the route of al-Ṭayālisī from Sulaymān ibn al-Mughīrah (from Abū ʿImrān al-Jawnī) from ʿAbd Allāh! The ḥadīth was also mentioned by al-Ḥāfiẓ in "al-Maṭālib al-ʿĀliyah" (1404- the musnad version), linking its isnād to the isnād of Ibn Abī Shaybah through the route of Sulaymān ibn al-Mughīrah in the usual manner. Al-Būṣīrī said in "Ittiḥāf al-Khīrah al-Mahrah" (3524- the musnad version): "Its isnād is authentic." As for the second route from Abū Dharr; it is through Abū Laylā al-Ashʿarī from him: It is in "al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr" by al-Ṭabarānī (773) and "al-Aḥādīth al-Ṭiwāl" (no. 5) by him, and from him: Abū Nuʿaym in "al-Ḥilyah" (1/157-158), and al-Ḥākim (3/341), and he remained silent about it! Al-Dhahabī said in "al-Talkhīṣ": "Its isnād is sound." As for the ḥadīth of Ibn ʿAbbās; it was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī and others with the wording: "The best water on the face of the earth is the water of Zamzam; it is nourishing food and a cure for illness."
