and stronger than all of that: the ḥadīth of ʿĀʾishah, who said: "O Messenger of Allāh! Do you sleep before performing the witr prayer?" He said: "O ʿĀʾishah! My eyes sleep, but my heart does not sleep." It was narrated by the two Shaykhs [al-Bukhārī and Muslim] and others, and it is recorded there; and in "Ṣaḥīḥ Abū Dāwūd" (1212). Thus, the ḥadīth is authentic, and all praise is due to Allāh. *

(He was large in hands and feet, handsome in face, I have not seen anyone like him before or after). It was recorded by al-Bukhārī (5906-5912), Aḥmad (3/125), and Ibn Saʿd in "al-Ṭabaqāt" (1/414) through various chains from Qatādah from Anas; and the context is from al-Bukhārī. It was attributed in "al-Fatḥ al-Kabīr" by al-Nabhānī to al-Bukhārī; with an addition, he said: He was large in head, hands, and feet. This addition is inserted in this ḥadīth, and it has no basis in al-Bukhārī or others, so perhaps it was a slip of the pen! Among the strange coincidences: that al-Ḥāfiẓ Ibn Ḥajar—or the scribe of his book "al-Fatḥ"—fell into a similar error; for when he quoted the text for his commentary, he mentioned it (10/358) with the wording: large in head and feet! This phrase: large in head... has come through chains from ʿAlī (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu), and its documentation has passed under number (2053). *
