It was recorded by al-Bukhārī (7028 and 7029), and also by Muslim, and al-Ṭayālisī in "Musnad" (1588). It was narrated by al-Tirmidhī (3825) - in a shortened form -, and Aḥmad (2/5). Al-Tirmidhī said: "A ḥasan ṣaḥīḥ ḥadīth." *
