about predestination from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam): ʿAlī ibn Abī Ṭālib, Ubayy ibn Kaʿb, Ibn ʿAbbās, Ibn ʿUmar, Abū Hurayrah, Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī, Abū Surayḥah al-Ghifārī, ʿAbd Allāh ibn Masʿūd, ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿUmar, Dhū al-Liḥyah al-Kilābī, ʿImrān ibn Ḥuṣayn, ʿĀʾishah, Anas ibn Mālik, Surāqah ibn Juʿshum, Abū Mūsá al-Ashʿarī, ʿUbādah ibn al-Ṣāmit; and most of the ḥadīths of these individuals have various routes."

"Indeed, before the Hour there will be days in which ignorance will descend, knowledge will be lifted, and killing will increase." [Abū Mūsá said:] "Killing: murder [in the Ethiopian tongue]." It was recorded by al-Bukhārī (7062, 7063, 7064, 7065, 7066), Muslim (8/58, 59), al-Tirmidhī (2200), Ibn Mājah (4050, 4051), Abū Nuʿaym in "al-Ḥilyah" (4/112), Ibn Abī Shaybah in "al-Muṣannaf" (18971), and Aḥmad (1/402, 4/392, 405), all from Shaqīq who said: "I was with ʿAbd Allāh and Abū Mūsá, and they said: The Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: ..." and he mentioned it. The two additions are in al-Bukhārī's narration.

"Indeed, there were three among the Children of Israel: a leper, a bald man, and a blind man. Allāh wanted to test them, so He sent an angel to them. He came to the leper and said: 'What is most beloved to you?' He said: 'A good color, good skin, and that which has made people dislike me to be removed from me.' He [the angel] touched him, and his affliction was removed, and he was given a good color and good skin. He said: 'What wealth is most beloved to you?' He said: 'Camels'—or he said: 'Cows'; Isḥāq was uncertain; except that the leper or the bald man, one of them said: 'Camels,' and the other said: 'Cows.'
