and Muḥammad ibn Sīrīn followed them from Abū Hurayrah with a similar narration, with some omissions and additions, including his statement: "and there is no bachelor in Paradise." It was recorded by Muslim, and ʿAbd al-Razzāq (20879). Abū Salamah also followed them from Abū Hurayrah with the first part of it, and added the story of ʿUkāshah. It was recorded by al-Dārimī (2/333-334) with a good chain of narration. *

"Indeed, the people of Paradise will eat and drink therein, but they will not spit, urinate, defecate, or blow their noses." They said: "What about the food?" He said: "It will be belched out, and sweat like the fragrance of musk. They will be inspired to glorify and praise [Allāh] as they are inspired to breathe." This is from the ḥadīth of Jābir, and there are several routes from him: the first is from Abū Sufyān from Jābir who said: I heard the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) say: ... and he mentioned it. It was recorded by Muslim (8/147), Ibn Ḥibbān (7392), and Aḥmad (3/316). Abū Dāwūd (4741) recorded the first part of it up to his saying: "and drink." The second route is from Abū al-Zubayr who heard Jābir ibn ʿAbd Allāh say: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: ... and he mentioned it. It was recorded by Muslim (8/147), Aḥmad (3/349 and 384), and likewise by al-Dārimī (2/335). The third route is from Māʿiz al-Tamīmī from Jābir ibn ʿAbd Allāh who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) was asked: "Will the people of Paradise eat?" He said:
