that a camel belonging to some of Banī Salamah became frenzied and charged at them... the ḥadīth is similar, and it includes: They said, "It prostrated to you, O Messenger of Allāh, when it saw you!" He said, "Do not say that about me, do not say what I have not reached, for by my life, it did not prostrate to me; rather, Allāh, the Mighty and Majestic, subdued it for me." It was recorded by al-Bayhaqī in "Dalāʾil al-Nubuwwah" (6/28). I say: The men of its isnād are all trustworthy, so it is a good isnād; with the known disagreement regarding the reliability of the unnamed person, who is the man from Banī Salamah. However, in any case, he is a Successor, and from the tribe of Jābir ibn ʿAbd Allāh al-Anṣārī al-Salamī, so the heart is reassured by the narration of someone like him, especially in supporting and corroborating reports. And Allāh knows best. Then one of the brothers - may Allāh reward him with goodness - guided me to something that increases my reassurance in what I have concluded regarding the reliability of the ḥadīth of (al-ʿAbbās al-Asfaṭī), which is that al-Dāraquṭnī said in "Suʾālāt al-Ḥākim lahu" (p. 129): "Truthful." So all praise is due to Allāh for His guidance, and I ask Him for more of His bounty! *

- (O Abū Dharr! I would not love to have Uḥud in gold and silver to spend in the way of Allāh; to die on the day I die and leave behind a qīrāṭ of it. I said, "O Messenger of Allāh! A qinṭār?" He said, "O Abū Dharr! I go to the lesser, and you go to the greater?! I desire the Hereafter, and you desire the world?! A qīrāṭ;" and he repeated it to me three times).
