"Iḥyāʾ" (1/140), then al-Zabīdī in "Sharḥ al-Iḥyāʾ" (1/407), and before them al-Ḥāfiẓ al-Mundhirī in "al-Targhīb" (1/89/4). I say: this isnād is good and connected, if Allāh wills, and to verify this, it is necessary to discuss its narrators individually: 1- ʿUbayd ibn Abī Suwayyah; attributed to his grandfather, he is: ʿUbayd ibn Suwayyah ibn Abī Suwayyah al-Anṣārī Abū Suwayyah al-Miṣrī. Al-Ḥāfiẓ mentioned him in his book "al-Tahdhīb" with the narration of four trustworthy individuals from him, and he reported a disagreement about his name and kunyah, saying: "The correct [name] is: Abū Suwayyah." Similarly, it appears in another ḥadīth, narrated by Abū Dāwūd, Ibn Ḥibbān, and also Ibn Khuzaymah, and its takhrīj has been previously mentioned under number (642). Then he said: "Al-Nasāʾī narrated in "al-Kuná" through the route of Yaḥyá ibn Abī Usayd from ʿUbayd ibn Abī Suwayyah that he heard Sabiʿah al-Aslamiyyah saying: I entered upon ʿĀʾishah ... and he mentioned the ḥadīth about the bathhouse. From this perspective, al-Ḥākim included it in "al-Mustadrak." Al-Dūlābī said (1/201): "Abū Suwayyah heard Sabiʿah al-Aslamiyyah." Ibn Ḥibbān said in "al-Thiqāt" (6/193): "Ḥumayd (1) ibn Suwayd Abū Suwayd." He said: "Whoever said: Abū Suwayyah has erred." Ibn Yūnus said: "He was a righteous man, and he used to interpret the Qurʾān" ... Al-Amīr Ibn Mākūlā said in "al-Ikmāl" (4/394): "He was virtuous, and Ḥaywah ibn Sharīḥ and ʿAmr ibn al-Ḥārith and others narrated from him."
