in their error, and they further added to the confusion by attributing the ḥadīth to them with numbers! (See their embellished edition 4/290)! Secondly: Some ḥadīth scholars explicitly attributed the addition to al-Bukhārī; as reported by al-Ḥāfiẓ in "al-Fatḥ" (11/382) from al-Ṭībī, who said: "Then I saw in 'Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī' in the 'Chapter of Gathering' (meaning: the one with the aforementioned number!) : 'People will be gathered on the Day of Resurrection'..." Thirdly: al-Ḥāfiẓ responded to him and opposed him, commenting by saying: "I said: I did not find in any of the chains of the ḥadīth that al-Bukhārī produced the wording: 'on the Day of Resurrection'; neither in his 'Ṣaḥīḥ' nor elsewhere, and similarly, it is with Muslim, al-Ismāʿīlī, and others; it does not include: 'on the Day of Resurrection'." I said: He missed the narration of al-Nasāʾī, for only Allāh encompasses all knowledge.
الوهم، وزادوا في الإيهام بأنهم عزوا الحديث إليهما بالأرقام! (انظر طبعتهم المنمقة ٤/٢٩٠) ! ثانياً: صرح بعض المحدثين بنسبة الزيادة إلى البخاري؛ حكاه الحافظ في "الفتح " (١١/٣٨٢) عن الطيبي أنه قال:"ثم رأيت في "صحيح البخاري " في "باب الحشر" (يعني: الذي فيه الحديث بالرقم المتقدم!) : "يحشر الناس يوم القيامة " ... "! ثالثاً: فردَّ عليه الحافظ، وعارضه، معقباً عليه بقوله:"قلت: ولم أقف في شيء من طرق الحديث الذي أخرجه البخاري على لفظ: "يوم القيامة"؛ لا في "صحيحه " ولا في غيره، وكذا هو عند مسلم والإسماعيلي وغيرهما؛ ليس فيه: يوم القيامة ". قلت: ففاتته رواية النسائي، فجل من أحاط بكل شيء علماً.

(If that which a fingernail could hold from what is in Paradise were to appear, it would adorn the expanses of the heavens and the earth, and if a man from the people of Paradise were to look out and his bracelets were to appear, it would obliterate the light of the sun just as the sun obliterates the light of the stars). It is from the ḥadīth of Saʿd ibn Abī Waqqāṣ (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu), and there are two chains from him: the first is from ʿĀmir ibn Saʿd ibn Abī Waqqāṣ, and there are two chains from him: 1- from Dāwūd ibn ʿĀmir ibn Saʿd ibn Abī Waqqāṣ from his father from his grandfather from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) who said: ... and he mentioned it
(لو أنّ ما يُقِلُّ ظفرٌ ممّا في الجنّةِ بدَا؛ لتزخرفَت له خَوافقُ السماواتِ والأرضِ، ولو أنَّ رجُلاً من أهلِ الجنّةِ اطّلع فبدَا أساورُه؛ لطمسَ ضَوءَ الشّمسِ كما تطمسُ الشّمسُ ضَوءَ النُّجومِ). هو من حديث سعد بن أبي وقاص ﵁، وله عنه طريقان:الأولى: عن عامر بن سعد بن أبي وقاص، وله عنه طريقان:١- عن داود بن عامر بن سعد بن أبي وقاص عن أبيه عن جده عن النبي ﷺ قال: ... فذكره.
