Ḥibbān in "al-Thiqāt" (8/362), and he narrated it in "Ṣaḥīḥ" (8/142-143/6455) through one of his shaykhs, and he is among the shaykhs of a group of ḥuffāẓ, like Ibn Mājah and Ibn Jarīr, and Baḥshal al-Wāsiṭī in "Tārīkh Wāsiṭ" (p. 237). Thus, the isnād is authentic, except for the obscurity of Khālid ibn Ḥamzah's condition to us, but he was followed up, as Khālid al-Ḥadhdhāʾ said: I heard Abū ʿUthmān al-Nahdī narrating that the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: "A man's record will be raised on the Day of Judgment, and the injustices of the children of Ādam will continue to follow him..." the ḥadīth is similar in summary. He said: So I said to him, or ʿĀṣim said to him: From whom, O Abū ʿUthmān?! He said: From Salmān, Saʿd, and Ibn Masʿūd, until he counted six or seven of the Companions of the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam). Shuʿbah said: So I asked ʿĀṣim about this ḥadīth? He narrated it to me from Abū ʿUthmān from Salmān, and ʿUthmān ibn ʿAtāb informed me that he heard Abū ʿUthmān narrating this from Salmān and the Companions of the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam). It was extracted by al-Ḥākim (4/574), and he said: "Authentic according to the conditions of the two shaykhs." And al-Dhahabī agreed with him! And I say: It is only according to the conditions of Muslim; because Abū Dāwūd, the narrator from Shuʿbah, was not included by al-Bukhārī except as a suspended narration, and he is al-Ṭayālisī. And this narration of al-Ḥākim is among what escaped al-Mundhirī; for he included it in "al-Targhīb" (3/145/13) through the route of Abū ʿUthmān from Salmān al-Fārisī and Saʿd... etc. They said: A man's record will not be raised for him on the Day of Judgment until he sees that he is saved, and the injustices of the children of Ādam will continue... etc., thus he mentioned it as a mawqūf narration. And he said: "It was narrated by al-Bayhaqī in 'al-Baʿth', and its isnād is good."
