(Note): Dr. (Suʿād) made two errors in her commentary on "Makārim al-Akhlāq" regarding this ḥadīth. After she translated for each of its narrators individually, she stated: "Its isnād is weak, as it includes Ibn Lahīʿah and Darāj ibn Samʿān; both of whom are weak"! She overlooked the corroboration by (ʿAmr ibn al-Ḥārith) found in Ibn Ḥibbān and others! This indicates her limited expertise in verifying the ḥadīths of the book and in assessing them. She also missed the earlier verification regarding (Darāj), that he is reliable in his ḥadīths except when narrating from Abū al-Haytham. Strangely, she quoted the statement of al-Ḥāfiẓ Ibn Ḥajar supporting this, but it appeared to her as: "Truthful in his ḥadīths from Abū al-Haytham, weak"! This is a distortion of al-Ḥāfiẓ's intent and his statements, as is evident. I do not know if it is a typographical or a writing error, or a misunderstanding. Perhaps this is supported by her assertion of (Darāj)'s weakness; for I do not believe she possesses the scholarly courage and confidence in her knowledge in this field to dare to contradict al-Ḥāfiẓ. And Allāh knows best. *

It was recorded by Ibn Ḥibbān (2633-2634), Abū Nuʿaym in "Ṣifat al-Jannah" (2/232/393), and al-Ḍiyāʾ al-Maqdisī also in "Ṣifat al-Jannah" (manuscript of al-Ẓāhiriyyah, folio 83/1) from ʿAmr ibn al-Ḥārith from Darāj from Ibn Ḥujayrah from Abū Hurayrah from the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam): that it was said to him: Will there be intercourse in Paradise? He said: ... and he mentioned it
