"al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr"—with a chain of narrators whose men are trustworthy except for al-Ṭabarānī's shaykh—similar to it, as the ḥāfiẓ said, but it is abridged from this, and for that reason, I included it in the other book (6620). However, it is a good witness for this in general. Similarly, there is the ḥadīth of Anas with al-Tirmidhī and others, and in it, in place of the last sentence of the ḥadīth of the chapter: "Then ask for your need, he says: Yes, yes." I have included it there for that reason as well (3688). There is also a witness for the ḥadīth from the narration of Muḥammad ibn ʿAmr ibn ʿAṭāʾ who said: The Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said to Sawdah: "Glorify Allāh every morning ten times, magnify Him ten times, praise Him ten times, and say: Forgive me (ten times); for He says: I have done so, I have done so." It was narrated by Ibn Abī Shaybah in "al-Muṣannaf" (10/294/9480) through the route of Shabīb ibn Gharqadah from him. I say: This is a sound chain of narration; its men are trustworthy, the men of the two Shaykhs, but it is mursal; Muḥammad ibn ʿAmr ibn ʿAṭāʾ: he is the Qurashī al-ʿĀmirī, a follower who died around the year twenty after one hundred. It has been authentically reported from his (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) actions that confirms the remembrance mentioned in the ḥadīth is during prayer, as it has come through various routes from ʿĀʾishah who said: He (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) when he stood for the night prayer would begin his prayer: he would magnify ten times, praise ten times, glorify ten times, declare the oneness of Allāh ten times, and seek forgiveness ten times ... the ḥadīth, narrated by Abū Dāwūd and others, and it is included in "Ṣaḥīḥ Abū Dāwūd" (742), and "Ṣifat al-Ṣalāh".
