"al-Tārīkh" (6/199, 12/47) from Ḥammād ibn Salamah from him. I said: This isnād is acceptable in follow-ups; its men are reliable, the men of Muslim, except for Ibn Jidʿān, who is weak due to his memory, though some consider his ḥadīth good. The third [narration] is from Sulaymān al-Taymī from him. It was recorded by Abū Nuʿaym (8/172-173): Ṭalḥah ibn Aḥmad ibn al-Ḥasan al-ʿAwfī narrated to us, Muḥammad ibn ʿAlawiyyah al-Muṣīṣī narrated to us, Yūsuf ibn Saʿīd ibn Muslim narrated to us, ʿAbd Allāh ibn Mūsá narrated to us, Ibn al-Mubārak narrated from Sulaymān al-Taymī. And he said: "It is well-known from the ḥadīth of Anas, narrated by several, and the ḥadīth of Sulaymān is rare." I said: Its men are reliable, the men of the two Shaykhs, except for Yūsuf ibn Saʿīd ibn Muslim, who is a trustworthy ḥāfiẓ from the shaykhs of al-Nasāʾī, but I did not recognize those below him. The fourth [narration] is from Khālid ibn Salamah from him. It was recorded by al-Wāḥidī in "al-Tafsīr: al-Wasīṭ" (1/15/1) from Ṣāliḥ ibn Aḥmad al-Harawī: Abū Bujayr Muḥammad ibn Jābir narrated to us, ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Muḥammad al-Muḥāribī narrated to us, Sufyān narrated from him. I said: This isnād's men are reliable and well-known, except for this al-Harawī, about whom Abū Aḥmad al-Ḥākim said: "There is some doubt about him." I said: In summary, the ḥadīth, with all these chains, is authentic without a doubt, and all praise is due to Allāh, Lord of all worlds.
