and Ibn Lahīʿah has poor memory, he is used as a supporting narrator, and Abū al-Zubayr is reliable, except that he is a mudallis, but he has been followed up, and this is the path: the other: ʿĪsá ibn Yūnus said: al-Aʿmash narrated to us from Abū Sufyān from him in a marfūʿ form with the wording: "When one of you uses incense, let him do so three times." It was recorded by Ibn Khuzaymah (1/42/76), and through his route: al-Bayhaqī (1/103-104), Ibn Abī Shaybah in "al-Muṣannaf" (1/155), and Aḥmad (3/400). Al-Haythamī said (1/211): "The men of Aḥmad are trustworthy." I say: rather, his men are trustworthy, the men of Muslim, so it is a good isnād. Dr. al-Aʿẓamī attributed it in his commentary on "Ṣaḥīḥ Ibn Khuzaymah" to: "M al-Ṭahārah 24 from the route of Abū al-Zubayr from Jābir"! There are two criticisms: One: that it is not with Muslim (1/147 - Istanbul): "three times," rather, they have in its place: "let him make it odd," and likewise Aḥmad (3/294). The other: that with them is the route of Ibn Jurayj: Abū al-Zubayr informed me: that he heard Jābir ibn ʿAbd Allāh... Abū al-Zubayr explicitly stated the narration, which is an important benefit, so it is not appropriate to neglect it; due to what is known about Abū al-Zubayr's tadlīs as previously mentioned. Perhaps this narration strengthens the narration of Ibn Lahīʿah mentioned, even if only in general terms
