among its corroborations is what was narrated by Ibrāhīm ibn Ziyād al-Qurashī from Abū Ḥāzim from Anas ibn Mālik in a marfūʿ form. It was recorded by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Muʿjam al-Ṣaghīr" (p. 23) and "al-Awsaṭ" (1/170/1), and he said: "It is not narrated from Anas except through this isnād, and no one narrated it from Abū Ḥāzim Salamah ibn Dīnār except Ibrāhīm." I said: And this was mentioned by al-ʿUqaylī in "al-Ḍuʿafāʾ" (p. 17 and 18) and he narrated from al-Bukhārī that he said: "Its isnād is not authentic." Then he mentioned what indicates that he had poor memory, saying: "This shaykh narrates from al-Zuhrī and from Hishām ibn ʿUrwah, and he attributes the ḥadīth of al-Zuhrī to Hishām ibn ʿUrwah, and the ḥadīth of Hishām ibn ʿUrwah to al-Zuhrī, and he also narrates from them what is not preserved." al-Dhahabī said in "al-Mīzān": "He is unknown." And similarly, al-Mundhirī said in "al-Targhīb" (3/77): "It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī, and its narrators are relied upon in the authentic [collections] except for Ibrāhīm ibn Ziyād al-Qurashī, for I have not found any criticism or praise regarding him.
