As for Ibn Ḥibbān, he mentioned him in "al-Thiqāt" (5/440)! However, the ḥadīth is ḥasan, as I have found some supporting evidence for it: 1- from Ibn ʿAbbās, raised [to the Prophet] with the wording: "I was weighed against all creation, and I outweighed them, then Abū Bakr was weighed..." It was recorded by Ibn ʿAdī in "al-Kāmil" (6/325-326) through the route of Maʿrūf ibn Abī Maʿrūf al-Balkhī: Thana Jarīr: Thana Layth from Mujāhid from him. And this isnād is weak; Layth is Ibn Abī Sulaym, who had become confused. And this Maʿrūf is unknown, not well-known, as Ibn ʿAdī said. 2- from Abū Umāmah, raised [to the Prophet] with the wording: "I was brought with a scale, and I was placed in it, and my ummah was placed in another scale, and I outweighed them, then Abū Bakr was brought..." the ḥadīth. It was recorded by Aḥmad in "al-Musnad" (5/259) and in "al-Faḍāʾil" (1/194-196), and from him by al-Khaṭīb in "al-Tārīkh" (14/78) through the route of Muṭṭarīḥ ibn Yazīd from ʿUbayd Allāh ibn Zahr from ʿAlī ibn Yazīd from al-Qāsim from him. I say: And this isnād is weak, consisting of a series of weak narrators: ʿAlī ibn Yazīd—who is al-Alhānī—and those below him, and al-ʿIrāqī weakened it in "al-Mughnī" (4/359). And it was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī (8/254-255) through the route of Muḥammad ibn ʿUbayd Allāh al-ʿArzamī from ʿUbayd Allāh ibn Zahr with it. And al-ʿArzamī is abandoned
