in terms of meaning, otherwise; the other wording is stronger due to the agreement of two upon it, as you have seen, especially since it is supported by his saying (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam): "The example of my nation is like rain; it is not known whether the first of it is better or the last." It is an authentic ḥadīth, as previously explained in detail under number (2286). *

(There is nothing except that it knows I am the Messenger of Allāh; except for the disbelievers or the sinners among the jinn and humans) It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr" (22/261/672 and 25/306/54), and al-Bayhaqī in "Dalāʾil al-Nubuwwah" (6/22) through the chain of narration from Sharīk, from ʿUmar ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Yaʿlá ibn Murrah, from his father, from his grandfather, who said: I saw three things from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) that no one saw before me: A- I was with him on the road to Makkah, and he passed by a woman with her son who had a severe mental illness, the likes of which I had never seen. She said: O Messenger of Allāh! My son is as you see? He said: "If you wish, I will pray for him," so he prayed for him, and then continued on. B- He passed by a camel with its neck extended, groaning, and he said: "Bring me the owner of this," and he said: "This [camel] says: I was born among them and they used me; until when I grew old, they wanted to slaughter me," and then he continued on. C- He saw two separate trees, and he said to me: "Go and command them to come together."
