the first: Abū Ṣāliḥ: It was narrated by al-Bukhārī (843), Muslim (2/97), Ibn Khuzaymah (749), Ibn Ḥibbān (2014), Abū ʿAwānah (2/271-272), and al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Duʿāʾ" (720 and 722), and al-Bayhaqī (2/186) through various chains from Sumayy from Abū Ṣāliḥ from Abū Hurayrah (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu) who said: The poor came to the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) and said: "The wealthy have taken the highest ranks and eternal bliss; they pray as we pray, fast as we fast, and they have surplus wealth to perform ḥajj and ʿumrah, to strive and give charity." He said: ... and he mentioned it. We differed among ourselves; some of us said: "We glorify Allāh thirty-three times, praise Him thirty-three times, and magnify Him thirty-four times." So I returned to him, and he said: "You say: Subḥān Allāh, al-ḥamdu lillāh, and Allāhu akbar; until they are all thirty-three." I said: And this is the wording of al-Bukhārī. And all the narrators from Sumayy disagreed: Waraqāʾ; it was narrated by al-Bukhārī (6329), al-Baghawī in "Sharḥ al-Sunnah" (072) and "al-Tafsīr" (7/366), and al-Bayhaqī (2/186) ... and he mentioned it, "... so you glorify Allāh ten times after each prayer, praise Him ten times, and magnify Him ten times."
