the well-known disagreement regarding Muḥammad ibn ʿAmr—who is the son of ʿAlqamah ibn Waqāṣ al-Madanī—, al-Dhahabī said in "al-Mīzān": "A well-known shaykh, his ḥadīth is good, he narrated extensively from Abū Salamah ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, and the two shaykhs [al-Bukhārī and Muslim] included his narrations as supporting evidence." Al-Ḥāfiẓ said in "al-Taqrīb": "Truthful but has errors." And there is a corroborating narration from ʿAbdullāh ibn Masʿūd—may Allāh be pleased with him. It was recorded by Wakīʿ in "al-Zuhd" (1/297-298), and through his route by Ibn Abī Shaybah in "al-Muṣannaf" (13/287-288) with a sound isnād from him. And Hannād in "al-Zuhd" also (2/353-354) with another isnād whose men are trustworthy. And there is another elevated corroborating narration from Abū Mūsá al-Ashʿarī with a similar meaning. I had previously referenced it in the other book (5650) due to its disconnection despite the trustworthiness of its men. Then I came across this rare and strong corroborating narration, so I hastened to include it here and then pointed to it there; so that readers may be well-informed and aware of the ongoing developments in knowledge; for it is advancing and does not accept stagnation, and with Allāh, the Exalted, is success.

- (There is no Muslim who goes to sleep in a state of remembrance [of Allāh] and purity, then wakes up during the night and asks Allāh for good from [the matters of] this world and the Hereafter, except that He grants it to him). It was recorded by al-Ṭayālisī in "his Musnad" (77/563): Ḥammād ibn Salamah narrated to us from Thābit from Shahr ibn Ḥawshab who said: A man narrated to us from Muʿādh: that the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: ... and he mentioned it similarly. Thābit said:
