she gave birth fifteen nights after her husband's death. Abū al-Sanābil came to her and said, "It seems you are considering remarriage? You cannot do so until the longer of the two waiting periods has passed." She went to the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) and informed him of what Abū al-Sanābil had said. The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said, "Abū al-Sanābil has lied. If someone comes to you whom you are pleased with, bring him to me, or he said: inform me." He informed her that her waiting period had ended. This was also recorded by Aḥmad, and its chain of narration is authentic. Al-Haythamī said (5/3), "Its narrators are those of the authentic collections." (Note): A number of commentators have mistakenly attributed the ḥadīth of the chapter to al-Shaykhayn, which is a grave error or a severe oversight, as it implies that it is with them in this wording: "Abū al-Sanābil has lied!" This is not the case. Among them is Shaykh al-Aʿẓamī in his commentary on "Sunan Saʿīd," Shaykh Shuʿayb in his commentary on "Sharḥ al-Sunnah," and the commentators on "Tafsīr al-Baghawī."
حملها بعد وفاة زوجها بخمس عشرة ليلة، فدخل عليها أبو السنابل، فقال:كأنك تحدِّثين نفسك بالباءة؟ ما لك ذلك حتى ينقضي أبعد الأجلين، فانطلقتإلى رسول الله ﷺ، فأخبرته بما قال أبو السنابل، فقال رسول الله ﷺ:"كذب أبو السنابل، إذا أتاك أحد ترضينه؛ فأتيني به، أو قال: فأنبئيني ". فأخبرها أن عدتها قد انقضت.أخرجه أحمد أيضاً، وإسناده صحيح، قال الهيثمي (٥/٣) :"ورجاله رجال الصحيح ". (تنبيه) : لقد عزا جماعة من المعلقين على هذا الحديث حديث الترجمةِ إلى الشيخين، وذلك وهم فاحش أو تساهل سيئ؛ لأنه يوهم أنه عندهما بهذااللفظ: "كذب أبو السنابل "! وليس كذلك، منهم الشيخ الأعظمي في تعليقهعلى "سنن سعيد"، والشيخ شعيب في تعليقه على "شرح السنة"؛ والمعلقون على " تفسير البغوي "! *

(Prohibition of the earnings of the flute player). It was recorded by Abū Bakr al-Khallāl in "Al-Amr bi-l-Maʿrūf" (p. 33, Qasīm Press) from two trustworthy shaykhs, both of whom said: Rūḥ narrated to us, saying: Shuʿbah narrated to us, saying: I heard Muḥammad ibn Juḥādah say: I heard Abū Jaʿfar say: I heard Abū Hurayrah say: I heard the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) prohibit... the ḥadīth. I said: This is a good chain of narration, its narrators are trustworthy and are the narrators of al-Shaykhayn, except for this Abū Jaʿfar, who is al-Ashjaʿī. Al-Bukhārī mentioned him in "Al-Kuná" and Ibn Abī Ḥātim (4/2/352) from the narration of
