al-Haythamī in "al-Majmaʿ" (6/14): "It was narrated by al-Bazzār, and in it is someone not named!" He is referring to this ʿAbd Allāh; for the rest of its narrators are documented in "al-Tahdhīb." It seems al-Haythamī did not find him in the three books, especially "al-Thiqāt" by Ibn Ḥibbān, which is surprising from him—may Allāh have mercy on him! For he had a special interest in it, arranging it alphabetically to make it easy for the researcher to find the narrator with ease. But glory be to Him who said: (My Lord does not err, nor does He forget).

- (Remind him of Allāh three times, and if he refuses, then fight him. If he kills you, you are in Paradise, and if you kill him, he is in the Fire. Meaning: the one who aggresses against others). It was recorded by al-Bukhārī in "al-Tārīkh" (4/1/198-199), al-Bayhaqī in "al-Sunan" (8/336), Aḥmad (3/422), al-Bazzār (2/365/1864), and al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr" (19/39/83) through the route of ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn al-Muṭṭalib from his brother al-Ḥakam from his father al-Muṭṭalib ibn Ḥanṭab from Quhayd al-Ghifārī who said: A questioner asked the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) saying: O Messenger of Allāh! What if an aggressor attacks me? The Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said to him: "Remind him of Allāh—and he commanded him to remind him—three times..." the ḥadīth. Al-Bayhaqī said: "This is what he said!" Indicating that there is a defect in it, and al-Bukhārī clarified it by saying afterward: "This is mursal." As for al-Haythamī, he spoke about it in a general manner as is his usual practice, saying—after attributing it to Aḥmad, al-Bazzār, and al-Ṭabarānī (6/245)—:
