as for the isnād of al-Ṭabarānī, it is possible that al-Haythamī indicated in his previous statement to al-Ṭabarānī's shaykh: (Aḥmad ibn ʿAmr al-Khallāl); for I did not find a biography for him. I say this while noting that it is not customary for al-Haythamī to criticize a ḥadīth based on al-Ṭabarānī's shaykh except rarely, especially since this (al-Khallāl) has narrated seventeen ḥadīths for him in "al-Muʿjam al-Awsaṭ" (17). It is also possible that the condition of those above Yaʿqūb ibn Ḥumayd was hidden from them, especially ʿĪsá ibn al-Ḥaḍramī, who was only mentioned in the book of Ibn Abī Ḥātim. And Allāh knows best. *

- (There is no prophet after me, and no nation after you; so worship your Lord, establish your five [prayers], give your zakāt, fast your month, and obey your leaders; you will enter the Paradise of your Lord). It was recorded by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr" (22/316/797) and in "Musnad al-Shāmiyyīn" (2/193-194), and by Abū Nuʿaym in "Maʿrifat al-Ṣaḥābah" (2/283/1), and by Ibn Mandah in "al-Maʿrifah" as well (2/175/1) through the route of Baqiyyah ibn al-Walīd from Buḥayr ibn Saʿd from Khālid ibn Maʿdān from Abū Qutaylah: that the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) stood among the people during the Farewell Pilgrimage and said: ... and he mentioned it. I said: And this isnād has trustworthy men, but Baqiyyah is a mudallis and has used an ambiguous term. However, it has a strong supporting narration from the ḥadīth of Abū Umāmah who said: I heard the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) say: "O people! Indeed, there is no prophet after me, and no nation after you, so worship your Lord..." the ḥadīth, and he added after the statement about zakāt: "with contentment in your hearts."
