This religion will become manifest until it crosses the seas, and horses will be ridden in the path of Allāh. Then there will come people who recite the Quran, and when they recite it, they will say: We have recited the Quran, who is more knowledgeable than us? Then he turned to his companions and said: Do you see any good in those people? They said: No. He said: They are from you, and they are from this nation, and they are the fuel of the Fire. It was recorded by Ibn al-Mubārak in "al-Zuhd" (152/450) who said: Mūsá ibn ʿUbaydah informed us from Muḥammad ibn Ibrāhīm ibn al-Ḥārith al-Taymī from Ibn al-Hād from al-ʿAbbās ibn ʿAbd al-Muṭṭalib who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: ... and he mentioned it. It was also recorded by Abū Yaʿlá (12/56/6698), and al-Bazzār (1/99/174) through two other chains from Mūsá ibn ʿUbaydah. I say: This isnād is weak due to the weakness of Mūsá despite his piety.
