then I came across the ḥadīth of Abū al-ʿĀliyah in Ibn Abī Shaybah's "al-Muṣannaf" (15/182/19456) through the route of Ḥafṣah from Abū al-ʿĀliyah who said: "The time between the first signs and the last is six months, following one another like beads in a string." Its isnād is authentic, and it supports what was previously mentioned from al-Dāraqutnī that it is from his statement. Perhaps the description of the ḥāfiẓ that it is mursal is only in consideration of it being, in meaning, in the ruling of marfūʿ; because it is not said from mere opinion, or he came across another narration explicitly raised. And Allāh knows best. Then Ibn Abī Shaybah narrated it (19457) through the route of Abū al-Muhzam from Abū Hurayrah who said: "The time between the first signs and the last is eight months." But Abū al-Muhzam is weak. *

(By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muḥammad! The Hour will not be established until immorality and miserliness appear, the trustworthy are considered treacherous, the treacherous are trusted, the noble perish, and the lowly appear. They said: O Messenger of Allāh! Who are the noble and who are the lowly? He said: The noble are the leaders and the dignitaries of the people, and the lowly are those who were beneath the people's feet, unknown.) It was recorded by al-Bukhārī in "al-Tārīkh" (1/98/275), and through his route: Ibn Ḥibbān number (1886- Mawārid), and al-Ḥākim (4/547), and al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Muʿjam al-Awsaṭ" (1/22/1/3920) through various routes from Ismāʿīl ibn Abī Uways: narrated to me by Zufar ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Ardak from Muḥammad ibn Sulaymān ibn Wālibah from Saʿīd ibn Jubayr from Abū Hurayrah (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu)
