rather, I included the ḥadīth of the chapter for the wording: "the waist" that is in it, and to provide some supporting evidence that strengthens it, such as the ḥadīth of Abū Hurayrah (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu), for which there are two chains from him: the first is from Usāmah ibn Zayd who said: Mūsá ibn Muslim, the client of the daughter of Qāriẓ, informed me from Abū Hurayrah: that he would sometimes narrate from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) and say: He described him to me as: "having long eyelashes, white waists, when he came, he came completely, and when he turned away, he turned away completely, no eye has seen anyone like him, and you will not see him." It was recorded by al-Bukhārī in "al-Adab al-Mufrad" (255) and in "al-Tārīkh" (4/1/295), and by Ibn Saʿd in "al-Ṭabaqāt" (1/415). Al-Bukhārī mentioned him in the biography of this Mūsá, and he did not mention any criticism or praise of him, and Ibn Abī Ḥātim followed him in that, and they did not mention any narrator for him other than this Usāmah, and therefore al-Dhahabī said in "al-Mīzān": "unknown." As for Ibn Ḥibbān; he mentioned him according to his principle in "al-Thiqāt" (5/403)! And al-Ḥāfiẓ said in "al-Taqrīb": "acceptable." meaning when corroborated, and he was corroborated, for ʿAbd al-Malik ibn Qudāmah ibn Ibrāhīm al-Jumaḥī narrated it from Qudāmah ibn Mūsá from Muḥammad ibn Saʿīd [ibn] al-Musayyab [from his father]: that Abū Hurayrah, when he saw someone from the Bedouins or someone who had not seen the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), would say: Shall I describe the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) to you?
