based on the principle: "The addition of a trustworthy narrator is accepted," so how is it when accompanied by those we mentioned?! And how is it when it has corroboration from the ḥadīth of Jābir as will be mentioned later?! As for the third addition, even though Shuʿayb ibn Ḥarb was alone in narrating it without others, it is a verbal addition; because the context, along with the agreed-upon addition, supports its meaning, so reflect on it. As for the second addition, it was uniquely narrated by another trustworthy narrator, Saʿīd ibn Abī Ayyūb, who is also a reliable authority used by the two Shaykhs. Imām Aḥmad said (2/321): Abū ʿAbd al-Raḥmān narrated to us: Saʿīd narrated to us: Jaʿfar ibn Rabīʿah narrated it to me. I say: This isnād is authentic according to the criteria of the two Shaykhs, and Abū ʿAbd al-Raḥmān is ʿAbd Allāh ibn Yazīd al-Makkī al-Muqriʾ, who is a trustworthy and virtuous scholar among the senior teachers of al-Bukhārī. Through his route, it was extracted by Ibn Ḥibbān (2/175/1001), Abū Yaʿlá (11/148), and Ibn al-Sunnī in "ʿAmal al-Yawm wa-al-Laylah" (306). Al-Nasāʾī also extracted it in his "ʿAmal" (943) through another route from Saʿīd; paired with al-Layth with the first addition, saying: Wahb ibn Bayān informed us, saying: al-Layth ibn Saʿd and Saʿīd ibn Abī Ayyūb narrated to us from Jaʿfar ibn Rabīʿah with it like the ḥadīth of the chapter, and it includes the first addition. This is a strong corroboration for the three previous trustworthy narrators in this addition, and it would have been preferable to mention it directly after them, but thus it was decreed. Its isnād is authentic; all its narrators are trustworthy, the narrators of the two Shaykhs, except for Wahb ibn Bayān, who is trustworthy
