Ibn Ḥibbān mentioned him in "al-Thiqāt" (8/149), and al-Dhahabī said: "Truthful and reliable." Al-Haythamī affirmed that he is trustworthy in a ḥadīth previously cited under number (2827), and therefore, the isnād is good, and Allāh knows best. Third: Abū al-Miqdām Hishām ibn Ziyād narrated from him with more detail. Al-Bayhaqī recorded it in "Shuʿab al-Īmān" (4/170/4701), and said: "Abū al-Miqdām is the sole narrator, and he is not strong." Hishām was followed by Ḥabīb ibn Abī Thābit from ʿUrwah in a summarized form, with an addition. Al-Tirmidhī recorded it (3476), and said: "A good and rare ḥadīth; I heard Muḥammad say: Ḥabīb ibn Abī Thābit did not hear anything from ʿUrwah ibn al-Zubayr." I say: He is also a mudallis, so it is possible he received it from Hishām ibn ʿUrwah. It has been authentically reported from ʿUrwah as mursal. ʿAbd al-Razzāq recorded it in "al-Muṣannaf" (10/441/19640) from Maʿmar from Hishām ibn ʿUrwah from his father that the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) used to say: ... and he mentioned it. I say: This is a sound mursal isnād; a strong corroboration for what has been previously mentioned from the musnads and what follows. As for the ḥadīth of Saʿd ibn Zurārah: al-Ṭabarānī is the sole narrator of it, he recorded it in "al-Duʿāʾ" (2/1475/1448): Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-Rūs ibn Kāmil narrated to us: Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥīm narrated to us
