I ask You for deeds of goodness, and to avoid evil deeds, and if You intend a trial for a people while I am among them, then take me to You without being afflicted by it.' It was recorded by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Duʿāʾ" (3/1462/1416): Ḥaddathanā al-Ḥasan ibn ʿAlī al-Maʿmarī: Thana Sulaymān ibn Muḥammad al-Mubārakī: Thana Ḥammād ibn Dulayl from Sufyān ibn Saʿīd al-Thawrī from Qays ibn Muslim from Ṭāriq ibn Shihāb, or ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Sābiṭ. Ḥammād ibn Dulayl said: And ḥaddathanī al-Ḥasan ibn Ṣāliḥ ibn Ḥayy from ʿAmr ibn Murrah from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Sābiṭ from Abū Thaʿlabah al-Khushanī from Abū ʿUbaydah ibn al-Jarrāḥ (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu) from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) who said: ... and he mentioned it.
