and in "al-Duʿāʾ" (no. 412) from his various chains, but they do not have the phrase: "In the name of Allāh, I rely on Allāh," except for Aḥmad; he only has: "In the name of Allāh." Abū Dāwūd and al-Ṭabarānī added at the beginning the wording: he never left his house without raising his gaze to the sky and saying: "O Allāh, I seek refuge in You from going astray, slipping, or being made to slip..." the ḥadīth continues, in this singular form. It was recorded by the aforementioned from the narration of Muslim ibn Ibrāhīm al-Farāhīdī, who is trustworthy, but his singularity in mentioning raising the gaze to the sky without the other chains from Shuʿbah casts doubt on its authenticity, especially since it does not appear in the other chains coming from Manṣūr, except in some chains from al-Fuḍayl ibn ʿIyāḍ—who is the fifth—and it will be discussed further. The third: Jarīr—who is Ibn ʿAbd al-Ḥamīd—narrated from Manṣūr with it, and only added the invocation: It was recorded by al-Nasāʾī and al-Bayhaqī in "al-Sunan" (5/251). The fourth: ʿUbaydah ibn Ḥumayd from him: It was recorded by Ibn Abī Shaybah in "al-Muṣannaf" (10/211/9249), and from him by Ibn Mājah (2/1278/3884), as well as al-Ṭabarānī (no. 732), both of them from him said: ʿUbaydah ibn Ḥumayd narrated it; in the singular form for all actions. The fifth: Fuḍayl ibn ʿIyāḍ; al-Ḥumaydī said in "Musnad" (145/303): Fuḍayl ibn ʿIyāḍ narrated from Manṣūr with it as the previous. It was recorded by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Duʿāʾ," and Abū Nuʿaym in "al-Ḥilyah" (8/125) from other chains from al-Fuḍayl with it, except that al-Ṭabarānī added the previous addition found with Abū Dāwūd and al-Ṭabarānī in Shuʿbah's ḥadīth (the second), but from the chain of Muḥammad ibn Ziyād al-Ziyādī and Aḥmad ibn Yūnus who said: Fuḍayl ibn ʿIyāḍ narrated it, and he said: "in the morning" instead of "never"!
