because he narrated it from three of his teachers, among them Yaḥyá ibn Ayyūb! And above these three—and the fourth is al-Ṭayālisī—are from the men of the two Shaykhs, and based on this, the isnād can be authenticated according to their criteria. ʿAmr ibn Abī ʿAmr is the client of al-Muṭṭalib al-Madanī, and the ḥāfiẓ said: "Trustworthy, though he may sometimes err." I said: And we are assured from his error because he was followed by ʿUmar ibn Nubayh al-Kaʿbī from al-Maqburī with it. It was recorded by al-Ṭaḥāwī, and its isnād is authentic. There is another path for it from Abū Hurayrah with some abridgment. It was recorded by al-Tirmidhī (7/2616) and Ibn Abī ʿĀṣim in "al-Sunnah" (2/464/956), and al-Tirmidhī said: "A ḥadīth that is authentic, rare, and good from this perspective." I said: And it is according to the criteria of Muslim. And know, my dear brother, that this story occurred more than once: in this ḥadīth of Abū Hurayrah, it was after the Prophet returned from the morning prayer and the women were in the mosque. And it was narrated by Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī who said: "The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) went out on Eid al-Aḍḥá or Eid al-Fiṭr to the prayer area, and he passed by the women and said: 'O women! Give charity...' the ḥadīth, narrated by the two Shaykhs and others, and it is extracted in 'al-Irwāʾ' (1/204)."
