"faith is Yemeni up to here"—and he pointed with his hand towards Judhām—"may Allāh's blessings be upon Judhām." This is a mursal [ḥadīth], its narrators are trustworthy, and al-Suyūṭī attributed it in "al-Jāmiʿ al-Kabīr" to al-Shīrāzī from Abū Hurayrah as marfūʿ, and he added: "they fight the disbelievers on the mountain tops, supporting Allāh and His Messenger." I have not yet found its isnād, and al-Samʿānī indicated its weakness in the entry for (al-Judhāmī). There is an authentic corroborating ḥadīth at the beginning of the following ḥadīth. The first part of it is agreed upon from the ḥadīth of Abū Hurayrah, and it has a continuation with them, and it is extracted in "al-Rawḍ al-Naḍīr" (1045). Then I saw it in "Tārīkh Dimashq" (6/298) from the mursal of Rūḥ ibn Zinbāʿ that the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: "faith is Yemeni up to the mountains of Judhām, and may Allāh bless Judhām."
