"he did not hear from ʿĀʾishah." Al-Ḥāfiẓ refuted this claim in "al-Tahdhīb," and in "Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim," there is a narration of Abū al-Jawzāʾ from her. As for Bishr ibn al-Walīd al-Kindī, there is a difference of opinion about him. Al-Dāraqutnī and others have declared him reliable, and Ibn Ḥibbān mentioned him in "al-Thiqāt" (8/148). I do not find any criticism against him from those who disparaged him except that he had become senile. Therefore, al-Dhahabī only added in "al-Mughnī" that Ṣāliḥ Jazrah said: "Truthful, but he had become senile." Such a person can be used as supporting evidence. He was corroborated; Aḥmad said (6/260-261): Yūnus narrated to us: Ḥammād narrated to us—meaning Ibn Zayd—with it. This isnād is authentic except for what was previously explained; for this Yūnus is Ibn Muḥammad ibn Muslim al-Muʾaddib: a trustworthy, reliable narrator from the two Shaykhs [al-Bukhārī and Muslim]. However, this addition has been authentically reported through two other routes from ʿĀʾishah. One of them is through Abū Burdah from ʿĀʾishah, who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) fainted while his head was in my lap, so I began to wipe him and supplicate for his recovery. When he regained consciousness, he said (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam): "No, rather I ask Allāh for the highest companionship with Jibrīl, Mīkāʾīl, and Isrāfīl." It was recorded by al-Nasāʾī in "ʿAmal al-Yawm wa-al-Laylah" (no. 1097) and in "al-Sunan al-Kubrā" (4/260/7104), and also by Ibn Ḥibbān (8/199/6557) through the route of Sufyān from Ismāʿīl ibn Abī Khālid from Abū Burdah with it, and al-Nasāʾī said:
