I said: This is a good isnād, all of its narrators are trustworthy, except for the well-known disagreement regarding Muḥammad ibn ʿAmr. There is a discrepancy in its isnād, as Ḥiṣn said: Abū Salamah narrated to me: ʿĀʾishah narrated to me that the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said ... and he mentioned it. It was narrated by al-Ṭaḥāwī in "al-Mushkil" (1/168), and Ibn ʿAsākir in "Tārīkh Dimashq" (5/145) through the route of Bishr ibn Bakr: al-Awzāʿī narrated to us: Ḥiṣn narrated it. I said: Its narrators are trustworthy; except for this Ḥiṣn; Ibn al-Qaṭṭān said: "His condition is unknown." I said: Therefore, his contradiction is not considered. The second: from Bakr ibn ʿAmr from Abū ʿUthmān Muslim ibn Yasār from Abū Hurayrah with it. It was narrated by Ibn Abī Shaybah in "al-Muṣannaf" (8/762), al-Bukhārī in "al-Adab al-Mufrad" (259), al-Ṭaḥāwī (1/171), al-Ḥākim (1/102), and through him al-Bayhaqī (10/112), and Aḥmad (2/321) through the route of Saʿīd ibn Abī Ayyūb from him with it. All of them narrated it through the route of ʿAbd Allāh ibn Yazīd Abū ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, and Aḥmad added: "from his book." And he added another addition; which is that he inserted between Bakr ibn ʿAmr and Abū ʿUthmān: ʿAmr ibn Abī Naʿīmah, which is the narration of al-Ḥākim; but from the narration of Ibn Wahb from Saʿīd ibn Abī Ayyūb, and al-Ḥākim said after it: "Yahyá ibn Ayyūb followed him from Bakr ibn ʿAmr." Then he and al-Bayhaqī and al-Ṭaḥāwī connected it through two routes from Yahyá from Bakr from ʿAmr ibn Abī Naʿīmah with it. And Rashdīn followed him: Bakr ibn ʿAmr narrated to me with it
