"the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) sent to us al-Walīd ibn ʿUqbah ibn Abī Muʿayṭ to collect our wealth..." the ḥadīth is similar, and it includes: "and that was after the Battle of al-Muraysīʿ," and it includes: "so he accepted from them the obligations... they returned to their families, and he sent to them someone to collect the remainder of their alms." It was recorded by Ibn Abī ʿĀṣim in "al-Afrād" (4/309-310), and al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr" (18/6-7). I said: This isnād is good; as will be explained in another ḥadīth under number (3232). Al-Haythamī said in "Majmaʿ al-Zawāʾid" (7/110): "It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī with two isnāds; in one of them is Yaʿqūb ibn Ḥumayd ibn Kāsib, whom Ibn Ḥibbān deemed trustworthy, but the majority weakened him, and the rest of the narrators are trustworthy." I said: The preferred view regarding this Yaʿqūb is that he is ḥasan in ḥadīth; as I explained there, and as for the other isnād that al-Haythamī referred to; it includes Yaʿqūb ibn Muḥammad al-Zuhrī; he is weak. Furthermore, its text is very concise; with an unusual addition, and its wording under number (5): from his father: that he was in the delegation of Banū al-Muṣṭaliq to the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) concerning the matter of al-Walīd ibn ʿUqbah: that the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: "Return not detained nor confined." Thirdly: ʿĪsá ibn Dīnār said: My father told me that he heard al-Ḥārith ibn Ḍirār al-Khuzāʿī say: I came to the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) and he invited me to Islam, so I entered it and acknowledged it
