- "Seventy thousand from the Jews of Isfahan will follow the Dajjāl, wearing cloaks." It was recorded by Muslim (8/207), Ibn Ḥibbān (6760), and Ibn ʿAsākir in "Tārīkh Dimashq" (2/250 - Madinah Manuscript) through two chains from al-Awzāʿī from Isḥāq ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Abī Ṭalḥah al-Anṣārī: Anas ibn Mālik narrated to me that the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said... and he mentioned it. Muḥammad ibn Muṣʿab differed with them in the isnād: al-Awzāʿī narrated to us from Rabīʿah ibn Abī ʿAbd al-Raḥmān from Anas ibn Mālik with it. It was recorded by Aḥmad (3/224) and Abū Yaʿlá (6/3639). Ibn Muṣʿab is weak in terms of his memory, so his contradiction is not considered. The ḥadīth has also been narrated with the wording: "Seventy from my nation will follow the Dajjāl..." the ḥadīth. There is someone accused of lying in it, which is why I included it in "al-Ḍaʿīfah" (6088), and it is apparently contrary to this authentic ḥadīth; unless it is interpreted. Refer to the mentioned source. The ḥadīth has a strong corroboration from the ḥadīth of Jābir, which follows:

- "The best land is Madinah when the Dajjāl emerges; at every pass of its passes, there will be an angel who does not allow him to enter. When that happens, Madinah will shake with its people three times, and no hypocrite, male or female, will remain except that they will go out to him. And most of those who go out to him will be women. That is the day of purification, that is the day Madinah expels..."
