I said: it seems he is referring to another ḥadīth—which we will present. Al-Bazzār said: "We do not know anyone who narrated it from Thābit from Anas except for al-Ḥārith ibn ʿUbayd Abū Qudāmah, and Ḥammād ibn Salamah differed from him, as he narrated it from Thābit from Ibn ʿUmar." I said: and it is the one that follows. This al-Ḥārith has been weakened due to his errors, and the ḥāfiẓ indicated this by saying in "al-Taqrīb": "Truthful but makes mistakes." I said: someone like him is used as supporting evidence with his ḥadīth, and is strengthened by others, and perhaps in the previous words of al-ʿUqaylī there is an indication of this. Al-Haythamī erred in this; he said (10/83) after attributing the ḥadīth to al-Bazzār and Abū Yaʿlá: "And their men are the men of (al-Ṣaḥīḥ)!" The ḥāfiẓ critiqued him, writing in the margin of "al-Majmaʿ": "I said: among them is al-Ḥārith ibn ʿUbayd Abū Qudāmah, who has many denounced narrations, and this is one of them, and al-Bazzār mentioned that he was alone in narrating it." 2- As for the ḥadīth of Ibn ʿUmar, it is also narrated by Thābit from ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿUmar: that the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said to a man... the ḥadīth. It was recorded by Aḥmad (2/68), and Abū Yaʿlá (10/55/5690) through the route of ʿAffān: Ḥammād narrated to us: Thābit narrated to us....
