but Ṭalḥah ibn Zayd—who is from Damascus and then Raqqah—is abandoned [in ḥadīth transmission]. Fifth: from Khuṣaylah bint Wāthilah ibn al-Asqaʿ who said: I heard my father say ... and he mentioned it separately without the ḥadīth of the chapter. It was recorded by al-Ṭabarānī (237 and 238) through the route of Muḥammad ibn al-Ashqar al-Lakhmī from her. And this Ibn al-Ashqar is weak, and Khuṣaylah—or it is said: Fusaylah—is unknown, and she has another ḥadīth in "Abū Dāwūd" which is extracted in "Ghayat al-Maram" under number (305).

"Indeed, Allāh has forgiven your lie by your affirmation of 'there is no deity but Allāh'." It is narrated from the ḥadīth of Anas, Ibn ʿUmar, Ibn ʿAbbās, and al-Ḥasan al-Baṣrī in a mursal form. 1 - As for the ḥadīth of Anas; it is narrated by al-Ḥārith ibn ʿUbayd from Thābit from Anas who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said to a man: "O so-and-so! Did you do such-and-such?" He said: "No, by the One besides whom there is no deity!" while the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) knew that he had done it, so he said to him ... and he mentioned it. It was recorded by ʿAbd ibn Ḥumayd in "al-Muntakhab min al-Musnad" (3/175/1374), Abū Yaʿlá in "his Musnad" (6/104/3368), al-Bazzār (4/7/3068), al-ʿUqaylī in "al-Ḍuʿafāʾ" (1/213) with his wording, Ibn ʿAdī in "al-Kāmil" (2/608), and al-Bayhaqī in "al-Sunan" (10/37). Al-ʿUqaylī said in the biography of this al-Ḥārith—who is al-Iyādī—: "He is not followed upon it, and this text is narrated with another isnād that is more authentic than this."
