and among them is the ḥadīth of ʿĀʾishah regarding Ibn Judʿān, which the ḥāfiẓ mentioned without attribution to anyone. I will now present it and it is: "No, ʿĀʾishah, he never said: 'My Lord, forgive me my sin on the Day of Judgment.'"

Will that benefit him?" He said: "and he mentioned it." There is another chain from her, as ʿAbd al-Wāḥid ibn Ziyād said: al-Aʿmash narrated to us from Abū Sufyān from ʿUbayd ibn ʿUmayr from her that she said: "I said to the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam): Indeed, ʿAbd Allāh ibn Judʿān used to host guests, maintain kinship ties, free captives, and be a good neighbor during the pre-Islamic period - and I praised him - will that benefit him?"
