al-Ḥaḍramī: Marwān ibn Muʿāwiyah narrated to us: Abū Mālik al-Ashjaʿī narrated to us from him. and his wording was: "When a man accepted Islam during the time of the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), they taught him the prayer." I said: And this isnād is also authentic: 1- This Ibn Abī al-Dumayk is a trustworthy Baghdadi, as al-Khaṭīb mentioned in "Tārīkh". 2- al-Ḥasan ibn Ḥammād al-Ḥaḍramī is also a Baghdadi, and he was deemed trustworthy by Ibn Ḥibbān, al-Khaṭīb, and al-Dhahabī. 3- Marwān ibn Muʿāwiyah—he is al-Fazārī al-Kūfī—trustworthy, from the narrators of the two Shaykhs. al-Haythamī said in "al-Majmaʿ" (1/293): "It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī and al-Bazzār in 'al-Kabīr', and its men are the men of (al-Ṣaḥīḥ)." It was mentioned in reverse, and perhaps the original is: "al-Ṭabarānī in (al-Kabīr)." Then the addition [narrated to us] in the isnād of al-Bazzār was omitted from "Kashf al-Astār"; I corrected it from "Mukhtaṣar al-Zawāʾid" (p. 40) from a copy I have, and the editor of its printed version also confirmed it (1/188), and mentioned in the commentary that it was omitted from (S).
