"It was narrated by al-Bazzār, and its men are the men of the authentic collections!" In this context and citation, there are errors in attribution that are not hidden from the discerning, such as, for example, his final attribution solely to al-Bazzār, while it is also found in Aḥmad and al-Ṭabarānī as I have seen. Al-Ḥāfiẓ said in "Mukhtaṣar Zawāʾid Musnad al-Bazzār" (2/294) following the aforementioned statement of al-Bazzār: "Authentic." It appears that he means the chain of transmission is authentic.
