and al-ʿAsqalānī, and therefore when he attributed it in "al-Fatḥ" (11/169) to Ismāʿīl al-Qāḍī, he asserted the weakness of its chain. The ḥadīth was mentioned by al-Ḥāfiẓ in "al-Maṭālib al-ʿĀliyah" (3/225) from the narration of Ibn Abī ʿUmar, and he remained silent about it, and al-Būṣīrī criticized it due to the weakness of Mūsá ibn ʿUbaydah. It has a weak corroborating report from the narration of al-Ḥasan ibn ʿAlī known as (al-Ṭawābīqī): ʿAlī ibn Aḥmad al-Baṣrī - the neighbor of Ḥumayd al-Ṭawīl - told us, he said: Ḥumayd al-Ṭawīl narrated to us from Anas ibn Mālik in a marfūʿ manner. Al-Khaṭīb recorded it in "al-Tārīkh" (7/380-381) in the biography of this al-Ṭawābīqī, and he said: "He narrated from ʿAlī ibn Aḥmad al-Baṣrī, a shaykh of theirs who is unknown. Yūsuf al-Qawwās narrated from him." Then he presented this ḥadīth for him and added nothing more, which means he is also unknown, and it is something that should be noted in "al-Mīzān" and "al-Lisān", as well as his shaykh! It has another corroborating report with the same meaning in a story, narrated by Muḥammad ibn Ḥajar ibn ʿAbd al-Jabbār ibn Wāʾil ibn Ḥajar, who said: Saʿīd ibn ʿAbd al-Jabbār ibn Wāʾil ibn Ḥajar narrated to me from his mother from Wāʾil ibn Ḥajar, who said: "The news of the emergence of the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) reached us while I was in great power and a group, so I arose desiring Allāh and His Messenger (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), and I abandoned what I was in until I arrived in Madīnah..." the ḥadīth, and the story is included in it. Al-ʿUqaylī recorded it in "al-Ḍuʿafāʾ" (4/59/1610) in the biography of this Muḥammad ibn Ḥajar, and it is narrated from al-Bukhārī that he said:
